Driving Thru Brantford

Travel two blocks; stop at red light. Go two more blocks ; stop for red light. Two more blocks; another red light. Spend more time waiting at red lights than actually driving. Bad for gas milage and adds to pollution.

That's life in Brantford. Of course, at every single one of those stop lights is a Tim Hortons. But, then even if the line is long at the drive thru (ie going out onto the street, namely at Lynden Road), everyone will go through it anyway and pollute the air more as they idle waiting to get to the speaker then to the drive thru counter for their double double. It's just as quick to go inside people...even if there is a line up in there. Turn off your car and actually walk somewhere, like across the parking lot to Tim Hortons, inside Tim Hortons and to the take out counter!

PS As a fellow Brantfordian all my life, I love your blog! What you say on it is what is on everyone's minds...even if John Starkey doesn't like what's on our minds or anyone elses for that matter...besides his own.
