Friel... Older? Wiser?

Suddenly after deciding he needs the mayor's job, Chris Friel stages a protest downtown until the police show up. I didn't hear of him involved in any of the downtown plans in the last three years until now. And really does this grandstanding publicity stunt show that he has become any more mature than a whiny, pouting, self-centered adolescent? He may be three years older ( works out to 39 even if he won't say) than when he was last mayor, but wiser, I think not.
